The WTM Offers Guided Tours Around the „Remise“ Exhibition at the Depot Erdberg, as well as the Museum Depot Traiskirchen.
At the depot Erdberg, you can go on a time travel through Vienna’s 200-year long history of public transport and learn everything about its tramway, subway, and bus systems in an interactive multi-media program.
Our passionate and experienced tour guides are happy to welcome all target audiences: groups of children will have just as much fun as engineers and historians looking to go in depth on their favorite topic, while a group of retirees might just enjoy a short trip back to the days of their youth.
At the museum depot Traiskirchen, you get to inspect the interior of tramcars of past eras, such as the ULF test unit – the very first Ultra-Low-Floor tramway built for testing purposes. Not only can you take a seat inside the historic tramcars, but also take a look under their „hood“ – the cars‘ control unit. Also, don’t miss the chance to witness the maintainence work done by the WTM live! Two of our latest additions – trolley coaches in very poor condition – will give you interesting insights into the repair work necessary to restore these historic cars back to their former beauty.
